One of the things we do best at Fins and Feathers is taking care of your feathered friend in every way. We are well known for selling some of the nicest “Hand-Fed” and “Hand-Raised” birds around New England.
People come from all over to purchase our “Hand-Fed Birds”. We buy all of our birds from “Local Breeders”. We get them when they are still being Hand-Fed and we “Hand-Raise” them here, in our store. The difference between a Hand-Fed bird compared to a bird that wasn’t Hand-Fed is huge. Especially when you are looking for a well mannered parrot. You will always get a better, more gentle bird, when you buy a hand-raised bird.
Not many places have well mannered, Hand-Raised birds anymore, especially those big chain pet stores. Those places don’t have time to spend on training the birds they sell. But we do!
All our birds are Hand-Raised, handled, and trained as much as possible until the day they are sold. This means, when you purchase a Hand-Raised bird from us: you will get a bird that will come right to you, instead of a scared bird that will try and bite you or flutter away in the cage scared.

Fins & Feathers really does have the friendliest birds you can find! I bought my conure, Charmy, from Fins& Feathers two and a half years ago and he is so friendly! The first time I held him at the store, he sat on my hand and didn’t try to bite me like birds from other pet stores would. He’s a great bird. He recently learned how to say his name (though he only says it in front of my mom) and last night he started chirping like a cricket!
Fins & Feathers is a great pet store and I always recommend it to my friends and everyone else I know.
